Privacy & data use

This page summarizes in plain language what the estimate flow may collect and which third parties can process it.

What you submit

Estimate intake

Location, scope, notes, and up to two photos you choose to upload. You can review the estimate before sharing contact details.

Optional contact step

If you ask for manual review, you may provide name, phone, email, and preferred contact method so someone can follow up.

Not a lab report

Uploaded images and automated text are planning aids only. They do not confirm mold species, health risk, or structural safety.

Third-party services

OpenAI

Photos, your written answers, and related estimate context may be sent to OpenAI for a non-diagnostic visual review that feeds the on-screen estimate.

Discord

When you submit contact details for manual review, your intake, photos, and visual review notes may be posted to a private Discord channel used only for internal routing.

Cloudflare Turnstile

Submissions may be checked with Cloudflare Turnstile before photos are analyzed or leads are delivered, to reduce automated abuse.

Retention, your rights, and providers

Retention

This flow does not store leads in a MoldEstimate-owned application database. Each successful API response (including intake, optional contact fields, and generated estimate context) may be cached in Cloudflare Workers KV for up to 24 hours alongside your submission’s idempotency key so safe retries return the same result. Content sent to OpenAI or posted in our private Discord workspace is kept under those services’ policies and your or our ability to delete it there.

Regional rights

The product is operated for U.S. homeowners. Where applicable law gives you rights over personal information (for example access, correction, or deletion), we honor verifiable requests for data our team and infrastructure control. For information held only by a subprocessor, that vendor’s privacy tools and policies apply as well.

Providers

Vetted partners receive the intake, photos, and contact details needed to follow up on your inquiry through the manual review flow described above, not for unrelated marketing.
